Class Information Spring 2012

Northwestern Integrative Medicine (NIM) offers fitness, meditation and positive psychology classes.

Guided Mindful Meditation

  • Wednesdays, April 11 to May 16; 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. or
  • Wednesdays, April 11 to May 16; 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  • Cost is $180 for 6 weeks

Breast Cancer Patients - Return to Functioning

  • Tuesdays, April 3 to May 8; 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. or
  • Tuesdays, May 15 to June 12; 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Cost is $15 per class, $75 for 5 weeks, $90 for 6 weeks

Positive Psychology: A Path to Greater Well-Being

  • Wednesdays, April 4 to May 9; 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
  • Cost is $250 for 6 weeks

Group Detoxification Program

  • Thursday, April 5; 5:15 to 7 p.m. (Intro/preparation class) and Thursday, April 12; 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. and Monday, April 16; 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. and Wednesday, April 18; 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. (Wrap-up class     OR
  • Thursday, May 10; 1 to 2:45 p.m. (Intro/preparation class) and Thursday, May 17; 1 to 2:30 p.m. and Monday, May 21; 1 to 2:30 p.m. and Thursday, May 24; 1 to 2 p.m. (Wrap-up class)

  • Cost is $395 includes meeting during the four-sessions as well as supplements, detoxification material and medical foods necessary to support this process. Participants will be given information to purchase their own detox tea.

Hour-long fitness classes are $13 per class; $143 per 11 week session. Call for pricing on prenatal/postnatal six and five week sessions. Please note cost for wellness classes. No classes May 27 - 28 for Memorial Day.

Classes meet in Streeterville on the Northwestern Memorial Hospital campus unless otherwise noted. Lincoln Park sessions meet at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness.

 

  • Pilates Mat
    A series of exercises done on a mat in different positions to enhance core strength.
