Testing

We offer evaluation and testing for the following Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs):

• HIV
• Gonorrhea
• Syphilis
• Herpes simplex virus
• Genital warts (HPV)
• Chlamydia
• Hepatitis A, B and C

HIV and syphilis testing in men who are sexually active with men should be done with any sex partner change within 3-6 months and every 3 months if someone regularly has multiple partners.

Symptoms

The most common symptoms are burning while using the bathroom, discharge, itching or a sore in the genital area (penis, vagina or anus). Some people have mild symptoms or no symptoms at all. That is why it is important to be tested even if you do not have any symptoms, but think you have been exposed to an STD.
